No Escape

The open road offered freedom but also uncertainty.  Where would he go?  What would he do? All e knew was he didn't want to be here.  So he set out with no destination, no plan, and no looking back.  he bypassed towns he visited frequently and didn't stop until he was somewhere he'd never been.
It seemed like an ordinary town.  It had all the necessities. The people were friendly enough.  Still he knew his journey wasn't over.  He replenished his supplies and hit the road again. After traveling for days, he began to notice a trend.  The towns were all the same. No matter where he went he saw the same buildings with different signs.  The same faces with different names.
Whatever he thought he was running from was everywhere.
